"If my people, who are called by my name...
... will humble themselves and pray I will heal their land"

this verse is haunting my waking and my sleeping.

Those who call themselves "christ" ians, yet do such hurtful, life quenching, destructive, and selfish things, while beaming at the world and claiming such ...innocent.... righteousness....
and those who follow the 'leaders' either out of a misplaced sense of duty, or submission, or because they don't want to have to face what is happening, because that requires confrontation, and admitting uncomfortable realities.... is it possible???

... I believe there are many people silently following- blindly following this govt, but what if somehow, someway, they could be stirred? What would it take? (besides a miracle) What can we do to encourage those who are sleepwalking into hell to open their eyes?

If it is the 'religious right' that has enabled this govt. to come into power, and remain in power, its time for truth. And time for humbling, and time for change.

I'm so weary of god being used to explain why we do bad things-

and I'm rambling-
sorry,

blu

OTOH, is there a long term goal that what these folks are doing is going to help America and Americans? And even then...

3. I really think there are many who
are following blindly.... that doesn't 'excuse' the support they are giving to evil people....
but having 'been there'... often times, folks stuck in deeply religious communities are looking to be LED-
Kind of like the 'sheep' mentality-

We need some new 'bell-wether'.

The flock is following wolves in sheeps clothing, and they're eating pastures that make them even more subservient....
It's like the poppies in the fields around the Emerald City...

We need to find a way to wake the sleeping.... and show them the 'men' behind that curtian!!!!

I'm feeling such impending doom.... and such urgency....

4. This Is The 2 Chronicles 7:14 Quote That The Repuke Lt. Gov Candidate
in Arkansas has on his campaign stickers (he has the scripture chapter and verse numbers listed)

I think that this is the dominionist's slogan

if we will just humble ourselves, God will heal our land.

Of course we know who the RW wants us to be "healed" of, Gays, liberals, working women, assertive women, civil rights, all being wrapped up in the flag and stamped with the bible
