Just saw a bit on CNN about the new Left Behind game.

They billed it as a "controversial" new game, so I thought I was going to be hearing a lot of different people talk about the game, etc. Much to my chagrin, they pretty much just talked to the game developers, a few gamers, and Jack Thompson (if you don't know, you don't want to ask). Also, they didn't really get into why the damn thing is causing controversy! Sure, they said it's violent, but I thought that why it was so controversial was because of the whole killing or converting non-believers thing. Did anyone else see it?

Oh, I know they exist. I've even seen them on TV; I've just never met any, that I'm aware of. My 17-year-old would laugh his ass off.

I have an even harder time imagining parents who wouldn't let their kids have video games, but this one would be OK. Is that the market?

You'd think I'd get the whole fundy Rapture thing, considering my upbringing. But it really blows me away.

Basically you can choose from sevral units including "prayer warriors" who bless the troops and make them stronger. And your main objective is to convert everyone and kill those who won't. I think it is safe to say Jesus' message of love and tolerance has gone out the window, offically, with the fundies.

Sounds boring anyway, why not just wait in a cave till Jesus comes to save your ass?
