2. There is a Prayer Circle Group
here at DU; I noticed you don't have a star, so you probably don't know about it. Anyway, I posted a link to this thread there so that others will know about this request. Hope that was all right.

4. I would
But prayer has been proven to not work in countless scientific studies.

Best of luck tho.

13. Countless studies? Really?
I've been keeping up with that and can only think of one, rather recent, study that takes that position. Many earlier studies have shown benefits. I'd say the issue is at the very least a wash.

23. Um...yes, they do.
I taught research methods at FSU a while back and there are a whole LOT of studies. We used them because the results were interesting to the broad population, as opposed to analyzing, say, research on surface tension! Here is a book that mentions quite a few. Of course, I'm sure you can dispute methodology, but there is no shortage of research that is positive. But that's research. For every negative one you find me I'll find you a positive one until we're down to the Sun and the Globe. Yin and Yang.

11. Prayer Circle Group would be a much more appropriate place for this, IMHO.
There are atheists, agnostics, etc. here in droves in R/T, myself included. While we are just as concerned as anyone else, we do not pray. In the prayer circle forum, everyone there DOES pray. While many atheists, etc. can be perfectly civil about this, I fear that some may choose to be snarky over being asked to pray, which would be heartbreaking.

Good luck and wishes to RRR nonetheless.

:hi:

14. Prayer circle
is a great place to add this, but I know that R/T readers are mature enough to add good thoughts, regardless of beliefs. As you can see from the responses.

Personally, I pray. So I will. We'll all do what we can to affect the universe.

19. Thank you. I appreciate any good thoughts in whatever form they take
I know what it's like to have a child go missing, and worse...

Breaks my heart that this one is still missing.
