ANAHEIM, Calif. – Are we living in the end times? According to world-renowned evangelist Greg Laurie, the answer is a resounding "yes."

According to Laurie, author of "Are These the Last Days," the Bible predicted events like the 2004 tsunami and the current-day strife between Israel and Lebanon. These tragedies are like the "labor pains" signaling the end of the fallen world and the birth of a new era.

"As we look at global terrorism and the current unrest in the Middle East, we wonder if these are signs of the times that Jesus is coming back," he said. "I believe it is, and we should all be paying careful attention."

This end-times was a central theme to each day's message, as were questions addressing death, salvation, and eternal life.

7. I wonder how much of this is a lack of history

I wonder if the "end timers" are unaware that people have been saying "Jesus is coming back tomorrow" ever since the day after he left?

As a Catholic who is very aware of the history of the Church and its splinters, it is quite clear all of those books cited by the "end timers" were refering to events that have already happened long ago.

8. I found a crumpled beer can on my lawn this morning.

I think my neighbor did it. As I was carrying it to my Polycart, some warm beer dripped on my foot. It was disgusting. I was barefoot. Damn! Anyway, I'm taking this event as a sign that the Rapture's upon us, It could come any day now. And for us Left Behinders, I understand that when Jesus comes back he'll be pissed and packing. I guess I had better start "paying careful attention".
