link

It's hilarious and too short.

1. Yes, worth watching - critical thinking skills and humor.

3. too short --as usual the guest doesn't get to say anything
read the interview at Salon instead. That interview was too short--by comparison the Colbert interview with Dawkins didn't even happen. It's just Stephen Colbert interviewing himself.

4. This is one of the few times...
I really wish Stephen would shut up and let the guest get a few words in.

5. I turn off the Colbert report
when they get to the interview segment.

he remains "in character" and the guests try to get their points across seriously and it just
isn't funny. Only occasionally, with some blowhard wingnut" does Stephen get them into a totally
untenable stance, which, if self evident to enough of the audience, becomes a bit funny (and sad).

With liberal guests (or moderates), his continued shtick of "it's all about me, me, me, and you
anti-bush people are just traitors or worse" just gets old and doesn't let the guest get their
message out at all.

So, I usually find something else to watch.

6. The plus side is
that Colbert is making points about asshat POVs like O'reilly and other dingleberry right-wingers without us having to watch O'reilly.
(this coming from someone who has never seen an entire Colbert Report because there's no cable here)

7. I agree about it being too short.
Prof. Dawkins is awesome when he gets an extended interview.
