Terror in the Mind of God: Mark Juergensmeyer (video)
Edited on Wed Nov-29-06 02:11 PM by greyl
I'm reading the very interesting book, and found this vid of the author speaking at UC Santa Barbara.

Mark Juergensmeyer, Director of UCSB's Global and International Studies Institute, talks about his recent trip to Iraq and his interviews with Sunni clergy and other Islamic political leaders, as part of his ongoing study of the global rise of religious violence. Professor Juergensmeyer attempts to explain how humans can translate their religious beliefs into acts of violence.
