Copy of E-mail I received from Rick Scarborough's Vision America.

Help Protect Christmas In America!

Two weeks ago we asked you to make your voice heard, and thousands of you responded! Messages have been pouring into the White House asking President George W. Bush to issue an executive order prohibiting the federal enforcement of any court decisions that seek to remove Christ from Christmas.

Thank you!

Today, we need you to tell your friends of this important campaign so thousands more messages can reach our President. He has the power to stop the enforcement of court decisions that limit our freedoms, and he needs to know that we want him to use that power.

Click here to send this to five of your friends.

If you haven't yet sent your message to the President click here to sign.

Together, we are making a huge difference.

In His Service,

Rick Scarborough

P.S. You can also receive our "It's OK to say Merry Christmas" bumper stickers for a donation of $1 per bumper sticker. Click here to order today!

P.P.S. Vision America now has business cards available that will allow you to quietly and respectfully tell stores you are tired of hearing "Happy Holidays" and that you celebrate Christmas in your house. Click here to order today!

1. Well, no Christmas tree in downtown Bethesda this year. Just weird white things.
We've ALWAYS had a tree.

Where is it?????

2. I'm tired of Rape-Publicans exploiting Christmas...

3. The RW have taken Christ out of everything
Edited on Mon Dec-04-06 10:48 AM by solara
The Golden Rule, the gentle parables about "Loving thy neighbor" and "Turning the other cheek" and most especially... the idea that Peace is a GOOD thing.

I wish Happy Holidays to people out of deference to the possibility they may NOT celebrate Christmas...but I guess to Scarborough, people who don't celebrate Christmas the way HE thinks they should are heathens and more worthy of hateful scorn than a friendly greeting.

What a mean spirited and narrow nation this has become..

4. Well said, Solara!
Why would one be offended by any greeting given with good spirit & intentions? These people are purposely looking for reasons to hate.

5. As usually....
...Those folks have been diluted with rediculous ideals; Why do they still think that they are the only ones that live in this country?

Appearently they have not received the memo that there are, oh...over 2 million people who do not observe Xmass? Imagine how pisst those people would be if stores but up signs for Jewish holidays or recognized Ramadan. Lets not forget Wiccan holidays as well (freedom of religion and excercise thereof, right?)...That would send those Jeebus fundi freaks Through the roof, wouldnt it?!!

I see the stores as being "moderate" and not wanting to appear to be playing in favor of ANY certain cult practic. It seems to me to be the right thing to do, I am an Atheist and I will accept "Happy Holidays"(A general reference) or "Merry Solctise"(Pagan reference). I wasnt going to be an asshole about this, but since its becoming an issue, again, eveytime someone says "Merry Christmas" I will have to give them a hard does of reality.

(Merry Mithras); (Happy Dionysus Day); (Merry Osiris); (Adonis Greetings) and (Happy Kishna Day)

Whatsmore, is that todays monotheistic G-d/jeebus followers will laugh at those ancient deities, why? because they are ignorant to the reality that the invisible friends they pray to are all derivitives from those above mentioned deities/religions. Once someone takes the step into exactly what it is that their religion system stems from, reason will begin to take root and reality will set in. It is all, make-believe.

I know the (in)significants of the day, I am far from ignorant about the historical aspect of "Christmas" and its original origins have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with jeebus or Christiandom for that matter.

There is no War on Christmas, there is a battle for realism/reality and fighting off ignorant dogma for the sanctity of society as a whole.

6. I know, I have taken to saying, when I have to recite the pledge,
"One nation, under Zeus."
