Why the negative energy directed at the Mets?
I am pleased to see our team doing well; it makes me happy, even if I will eat crow if the Giants get beyond the first round of the playoffs. Isn't that enough?
Do you have any constructive criticism to offer? How can the Mets get out of their collective batting slump?
Why pick on the Mets? If they have another week like they just had, whether they win or lose any give game is going to matter about as much as whatever bird-brained opinion Joe the Plumber is serving up today.
Really, you and the Cowboy have the kind of view toward sports that most twelve-year-old fans have.

It's been confirmed that Beltran and Reyes are looking at August returns. Delgado, even if comes back is not going to be anywhere near 100% after have laproscopic surgery on his hip. His age is a factor in that prognosis.
Minaya has stated that he is not going out to get help as the "prices are too high". I think it's a load of phooey as I think this guy has proven he just doesn't have any answers. Teams have made moves this season for cheap that didn't really need to (see St Louis picking up DeRosa). What the Mets have in Minaya is very simialr to what the Red Sox had with Dan Duquette. I've never, in all my years following sports, seen a team this ravaged with injury, and the GM sit back do absolutley nothing at all.
Delgado went down two months ago and Minaya sat on his hands the whole time. The Nats were offering Nik Johnson at bargain basement prices and Minaya doesn't even bother. Moving Joe Murphy to first has been a disaster and that guy is obviously not ready to be an everyday MLB player.
FMart has great tools in the outfielf and is overmatched at the plate. They kept him up for too long and was obviously not ready.
It's getting ugly in Metsville.
Generally I just let Upton and Cboy have their fun. They have no idea what they are talking about most of the time anyways.
