Doesn't matter whether the person is a (D) or an (R).

Sports should be off-limits to politicians.

14. Yea, I am complaining, because first and foremost, this is a political website.
It's not a sports website.

I just saw Obama all over the news in Russia, Italy and Africa. Enough is enough.

But I wouldn't expect a fan of the worst drawing team in all of Major League Baseball to understand that.

I have been following the Milwaukee Brewers since childhood. From the radio broadcasts, I thought they were drawing pretty well this year.

Sorry about that

20. My bad. Then maybe you should transfer your apology to slobbering all over
a politician.

Obama is on nightly news, uhhhhh, nightly.

Why do you have to see him at a baseball game?

Why not have a Cardinal fan who volunteers for Meals on Wheels and the society for the blind throw out the first ball?

Why not have a soldier who's been through hell in the Middle East throw out the first ball.

Huh come?

That's right d-boy I think it's great that President Obama wore a White Sox jacket. Made me proud!

I get you d-boy, you keep blubbering on about 1919 hoping I'll forget about the cheating that's gone on with the Giants. Do you really want to go there?

36. Oh good Lord.
I thought you had something.

You're comparing the 1919 Black Sox scandal .. something that has its own exhibit in Cooperstown (I saw it ), with allegations of misconduct among a player or two in over one century in existence as a Giants franchise??

And I reject the Perry accusation, considering lots of players use/used sandpaper, Vaseline, etc., to gain an advantage -- certainly not exclusive to the Giants...

By the way, here's a photo of one of the "crooked" Giants you cite .. in a White Sox uniform, of course.

37. Where was Chase playing in '19 d-boy?
After it was well known he was a game throwing cheater!

John McGraw who was a dirty player (go read about his playing days d-boy) then went on to manage... guess who? Also while managing, McGraw had his own system of sign stealing.

Come on d-boy that crap Perry tossed was against baseball rules. Infact the spitball was banned in the 1920's. Cheater.

How about the 1951 NY Giants and their elaborate sign stealing system at the Polo Grounds? Cheaters!

Then there's that guy who's head has grown larger than his ass, who am I thinking of...?

And color with Duane Kuiper of the Giants.

22. Here's my issue:
In the broadcast booth the president is an outsider. It diminishes his authority, IMO.
I don't mind the first pitch. I don't mind a field interview. But I don't want him to pretend to be one of the guys. He's not. It strikes me as staged. It strikes me as phony.

26. I totally mind the first pitch. Maybe I'm repeating myself since I've been going
at it with all of the koolaid drinkers in GD: P, but why the hell not make a disadvantaged kid's dream come true?

How about the St. Louis area volunteer of the year, who's involved with sorting items at the local food bank, and delivering meals to senior citizens?

I mean, Jesus Christ. Obama can do anything he wants. Can't he, and all politicians, not distance themselves from sporting events?

Couple that with God Bless America, and it's enough to give me a POUNDING headache.

42. If the POTUS likes baseball, why shouldn't he?
So he should just never get to do anything he might consider fun? I didn't realize that once you became Prez its NOT okay to enjoy yourself...I think whomever is in the office works damn hard and deserves to do something they like, like participating in a sport they obviously love...
