Classic comment about Frisco from a DU'er.... |
|
"7. San Francisco smells of urine in most areas. Seriously. Esp. downtown areas around the Mission, the Tenderloin, Haight Ashbury. But the odor permeates most other places. I used vaporub in my nose to survive the trek to work. I am not kidding." Seriously. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x8931263:rofl:

That's bad.
Funny thing about Boston is that this place either smells like low tide or stale beer depending on the time of day. Before it went really yuppy in the last ten years or so it used to smell like Low tide, stale beer and piss. The piss smell was really bad in the subways, North Station, Fenway Park and Kenmore Areas. Folks used to just walk out the bars and piss all over the sides of the buildings.
Not so much anymore though.

2. I used to use the Aquarium Blue Line station |
|
When it was part of the Marriott Long Wharf area. (Dating myself here.)
It was like an open toilet. It was horrible! This was 20 years ago so I'm sure they've cleaned up the city a lot by now.

10. The aquarium blue line station he is talking about is in Boston |
|
The same city that I am talking about claiming used to smell like piss, low tide and stale beer. The same city that I am no saying just smells like low tide and stale beer.
Oh, and I live here as well.

a while back and had to go to a site in east boston. I used to get off at the Aquarium stop on nice days and walk home from there.
