What's the toughest division in the NFL?
I feel and want to believe that it's the NFC East. Also I want to believe that Dallas is the strongest team in that division, but their record indicates otherwise...so without being too partial to your homeric urges, what is the toughest division in the NFL? And why is this so? Educate me/us about your little corner of the football world.

11. People stopped laughing
when a team from the NFC West represented the NFC in the SB last year.

2. NFC East or NFC South

As I see it, the champion may not be the best overall in the NFL, but those are the only two divisions where I think all 4 teams have a shot at the playoffs as a wildcard even if they don't win their division. Every other division has at least one team that you know won't make the playoffs.

5. NFC East
As long as Cowboys have Phillips as coach they aren't going anywhere. I think my Skins have the potential to be good this year. They weren't that far off last year.

6. What makes you optimistic about the Redskins' chances this year?

9. I'll field this one.
The Redskins fielded a Super Bowl-caliber defense last season, and only made that side of the ball stronger by adding Albert Haynesworth and Brian Orakpo (as well as locking up DeAngelo Hall). With Jon Jansen finally being given the heave-ho, the Skins have to chance to stabilize the right side of their O-Line. Whether it's Stephon Heyer, Chad Rinehart, Mike Williams, or someone we don't yet, solidifying the right tackle position and getting a full season out of Randy Thomas would do the offense a world of good. The X-Factor in all of this, of course, is the play of Jason Campbell. With the strength of the defense and the running game, they don't need Campbell to go out and beat the world every week. But he does need to be more efficient on 3rd down, or the Skins are doomed to mediocrity again in '09. I think they could go anywhere from 6-10 to 11-5. But I think the East is a two-horse race between the Giants and Eagles this year, with Dallas and Washington bringing up the rear as they did last season.

10. Thanks for the thorough response...
...I am a little worried about that Redskin defense, Haynesworth will be tough to contain.

7. Where's the LA team? Oh wait, LA still does not have an NFL team. Perhaps they can convince
the Toronto Bills to move to LA.

13. The Oakland Traitors
can always move back there. It's OK. They're used to a losing football team in LA.
