Frisco Chokers stomped again by Atlanta 4-2
I'm waiting for one of the twins to remind me how shitty the NL East is again.

1. Saw that
In fact I was following play-by-play online. That makes the Rockies 1.5 games ahead of SF.

I hate Atlanta with a passion. I want that place to be a place of suffering for Larry for the rest of his career.

(Dont tell the twins)

as well as the remaining 3 runs later in the game. Lincecum now has a loss added to his W-L.

Just like in the ASG.

Therefor it's acceptable.

Remember, the Twins were saying how lousy the NL East is right up until this series. The Frisco Chokers just pole vaulted the Braves into the post season race.

mainly cause they are banged up.

I can bash your team all day.

The Mets took 3-4 from those Chokers in their own ballpark. You're now dropping at least 3-4 from Atlanta. AND YOU TEAM IS COMPLETELY HEALTHY!!!!

You've now dropped 6-7 to San Diego, Pittsburgh and Atlanta.

I also recall you talking shit how the NL East was the worst in baseball.

LOSER!!!!

is better.

Those are the unwritten sports rules that everyone knows.

And the Giants are better than the Chokers at this point.

And the Giants of course aren't COMPLETELY HEALTHY!!11!

Umm, Randy Johnson????

13. Tim didn't pitch that bad
he struck out 9 in 5 innings...but a 3 run HR just killed him.

Like Giants announcer Duane Kuiper said after the game..Lincecum's been picking up the offense all year, it's about time they picked him up.

14. I wont lie
I was following on play-by-play by ESPN. He did strike out the first two batters swinging then gave up that single by Chipper Jones and the subsequent stolen base in which he was the scoring runner. Overall he did well striking out batters but that homer did kill the Giants.

18. You're probably imagining things
Kuiper played 2B for the Indians and Giants for about a decade up until 1985. All 3 of those players you mentioned were in the majors during at least part of that time. I'll put Kuiper's baseball knowledge up against anything the Mets have to offer...BTW, Ron Darling sure has put on weight.

Post-Game Recap: Giants Lose, Water is Wet

Wait, wait. Hold on, blue. The pitcher put some sort of spinny motion on that ball by gripping the ball differently and/or snapping his wrist. I'm pretty sure that's against the rules. Check his mitt.

Oh, and that's a real quote taken from a Frisco Chokers blog

At least the Mets have one thing going for them this season
By 'Duk

As the most expensive fourth place team around, the Mets might be again producing another worst team that money could buy.

But let me say this for Flushing's colossal disappointments: At least they've got one heck of a team announcing the crash.

The New York Observer seems to agree with the writing of this solid profile on the three-man SNY booth of Gary Cohen, Ron Darling and Keith Hernandez.

"The Anti-Homers" reads the article's title, and, according to writer John Koblin, the booth has achieved a rare chemistry by mixing the "competent" Cohen, the "incisive" Darling and the "subversive" Hernandez.

I'd concur, because whether Cohen is calling the action better than anyone not named Vin Scully or Hernandez is grilling the Mets' mishaps on the field, they're always worth a stopover when watching Extra Innings on any given night. No matter what the situation. No matter the standings.

And, really, that's the best compliment a baseball booth can be paid, right? That someone with no emotional investment (ie: me) can tune into the game specifically to hear what that team's announcers are up to? That they feel something approaching appreciation?

I have a few other favorites from non-Chicago teams — the NESN crew in Boston is fun, I want Bert Blyleven to circle me and the D'Backs are a guilty pleasure with Mark Grace — but no one comes close to the crew that regularly shows what homerish amateurs the guys across town can be. For my money, if I'm going to tune into any booth on any night – again, Scully remains the obvious gold standard — it's going to be the Mets' trio.

One of your announcers was on ESPN a few weeks ago (Ya know, ESPN with the East Coast Bias have Frisco Choker announcers in the booth) called a Mets game and flat out stated he had no idea that Nolan Ryan, Tom Seaver and Doc Gooden were Mets Pitchers.

And the Mets crew are the best in the business.

30. Unless you give me a name
your charge means nothing...you are no doubt mistaken.

The Giants crew consists of Jon Miller, Kuiper, Mike Krukow and Dave Fleming. The only guy who works for ESPN is Jon and he does the Sunday night games..he's a walking baseball encyclopedia. He was probably being sarcastic with Morgan, as they often both do, and you just didn't pick it up.

You ask even a lay person who moderatly follows the game and they would be able to tell you Seaver used to pitch for the Mets. Same as Nolan Ryan.

That guy is an ass.

No wonder you and Cboy don't know shit about baseball. You have to listen to that stooge.

when Miller and Morgan interact...I feel some pity for you, but not much.

Miller has done baseball for some 35 years, broadcasting for the A's, Rangers, Red Sox, Orioles and Giants. He knows more about baseball than you could ever dream of.
