Two in a row!! Streaking Giants clobber Rockies 3-1

Led by 7 innings of 1 ER 3 hit ball thrown by the now 12 game winner Matt Cain, the Giants moved back into a tie for the Wild Card lead. Cain lowered his ERA to 2.27 and Brian Wilson recorded his 25th save.

1. I certainly cherish the Giants games when they allow only one run in that

ridiculous high altitude launching pad in Denver.

It's only one game, but it's a fantastic way to start the series.

And as I promised inthebrain, who enjoys running his mouth, the Chokers are well on their way toward a weekend sweep and ten games under .500 ... falling in game #1 tonight against the Astros.

David Wright did not hit a home run because the game was at tough Citi Field in New York.

2. Giants are now up to 3-5

on this road trip, with an outside chance of coming home at .500. Things don't look near as bad as they did 2 days ago. This team has character..and most importantly, pitching.
