Selig reportedly mulling Rose reinstatement
Baseball commissioner Bud Selig is seriously considering lifting Pete Rose's lifetime ban from baseball, the New York Daily News reported Monday, citing no sources.

Some lobbying from Hall of Famers is influencing Selig, the newspaper reported.

Hank Aaron, Joe Morgan and Frank Robinson all have spoken to Selig about reinstating Rose, the newspaper reported.

I don't like this idea and I grew up a Reds fan. And yes, I have walked Pete Rose Way and I even saw him play when he was player/manager of the Reds. I was for reinstatement until he admitted EVERYTHING in an obvious ass kissing attempt to get into the hall of fame. I don't like crooks and he's definitely a crook and manipulated his team performance for his own personal gain.

1. Agreed, his "admission" was nothing more than
"OK, I did it. Can I be in the Hall of Fame now?"

Unfortunately, there are far worse people in Cooperstown, so it's hard to make the argument that he doesn't deserve to be there. He certainly has the numbers.

2. I'm siding with Aaron, Morgan and Robinson on this one
Reinstate him. He belongs in the HOF. But I agree with the management ban.

3. Even a broken clock is right ....
This would be wonderful news if they lifted the ban.

Arguably the greatest base hitter of all time?

Come on, he has to be in!

4. Re-instate him only to allow him access to the HoF. In no way should
he ever be allowed into baseball in any capacity. Not even as a janitor.

5. Wow, another brilliant move by Bud Selig...
...I wouldn't let him into baseball even to watch a game. Putz. Liar. Hypocrite. Cheater.

6. Why? He committed the ultimate baseball crime.
Fuck him, he should never be allowed back.
