1. Ian Snell is not that much of a surprise. He has been a disappointment
and gave up on himself and team earlier this year, letting himself get demoted to AAA.

I'm a little surprised by Jack Wilson, but he has expressed a lot of disagreement with the team this year. Guess they felt it was time to part ways with him. It will be interesting to see if the prospects are really prospects.

2. I definately agree about Snell,
world of talent, full of himself.

Jack's been rumored for a couple of years now. He's 32. If anyone should have stayed, I would have liked it to be him.

As for the prospects, the guy the Bucs apparently wanted was Jeff Clement. First baseman with some power. But we've seen that before.:sarcasm:

3. Yeah. Another Adam LaRoche!
Actually I have been a bit more impressed with Adam's little brother Andy.

Yeah. Sad to see Jack go. He was kind of the one constant on team that essentially does a complete makeover every two or three years.

4. And they are happy to leave the perpetual farm team known as the Pirates who will soon
hold the all-time major league record of consecutive losing seasons.
