NCAA COLLEGE FOOTBALL: WEEK 1
Edited on Tue Sep-01-09 08:42 PM by Condem
If anyone's interested. You decide. Strictly for fun or the winner each week get's a night's stay at the Hackensack (NJ) Hilton. Eight key games a week.
Entry's in by Thursday at noon. This week's key match-ups:

Oregon +5 @ Boise State
Georgia +5.5 @ Oklahoma State
Missouri + 6 Illinois @ St. Louis
BYU + 21 @ Oklahoma
Nevada + 11 @ Notre Dame
Alabama - 5.5 @ Virginia Tech
Colorado - 11 @ Colorado State
Miami (Fla) +3.5 @ Florida State

Ya can't win if you don't play. I suck at this shit, so I've got no chance. Any mistakes, let me know. Good fucking luck.

4. I figured as much.
Not many going out on the line. So many weak sticks here, they take the easy way out. Talk about David Wright. It's comforting. Gosh, what did David do tonight?

7. Oh, shush, I guarantee I know more about...
football than you do. I grew up in a football household and I currently live in Big 12 country. There were days I thought my parents would kill each other over their football teams (mom FSU, dad Notre Dame).

I'm just not registered in the pool, I'm so stoked about football season that these are the only two games I care about at the moment, I don't want to take you gents to the bank (so to speak) and, being from NJ, I know Hackensack...

9. Don't be so sure of that, a la izquierda.
happyiowan routinely beats me week in and week out. Doesn't know the half I know. My father was a BAMA grad. I'm from the Philly suburbs and after I graduated from school, I drove a cab in North Jersey and NYC. Once took a drunken Tiny Tim from a Meadowlands dive to the Hackensack Hilton. Give it a shot. I have a hard enough time picking the winners, let alone the spreads.

12. Most don't play for psychological reasons.
They're afraid of the ridicule and scorn they'll suffer from their peers when they bomb in their respective pools. Plus, the men are deeply concerned by getting their asses beat by a woman.

News and notes: UA's Jones and Ingram have made restitution and are eligible

To tie up a loose end of this long and winding journey into the heart of NCAA policy and procedures, there is this final note tonight ...

Redshirt freshman quarterback Star Jackson appears set to get the call if Greg McElroy goes down Saturday night.

Alabama wide receiver Julio Jones and running back Mark Ingram have repaid to charity all benefits deemed impermissible by the NCAA, a source has confirmed.

The two star players are now completely eligible to play Saturday against Virginia Tech.
