49ers release Damon Huard
The San Francisco 49ers have released quarterback Damon Huard.

After the move Tuesday, Nate Davis is in line to be the team's No. 3 quarterback behind starter Shaun Hill and backup Alex Smith.

This is good news for 49er fans as the strong armed Davis, the 5th round pick out of Ball State, has been by far the most impressive QB in the pre-season...Davis may just be the niners QB of the future

1. Yes!! Davis earned the spot and Huard didn't offer anything different than Hill.
I hope they can develop Davis, they can't keep spending 1st round picks on QBs. Heck, let him start the last couple games of the year. That's the thing with Singletary, if Hll or Smith isn't getting the job done I could see him putting in Davis eventually.
