2. Sonny Jurgensen and Charlie Taylor. Lombardi said with Jurgensen at QB, Green Bay never would have
lost a game and the rest the NFL would have filed an anti-trust suit.

6. Of the modern era, 'yes' to this one. We really need pre and post-ginned up rules categories. nt

12. Without a doubt.
I don't even see why there's a debate on this. Manning-Harrison and Kelly-Reed were damned good ones too, though.

20. Manning-Harrison
C'mon, people. Harrison set a new mark for catches in a season that will probably NEVER be broken. I mean, he smashed the old record by like 20 catches.

23. Johnny Unitas to Raymond Berry deserves a mention
That combo seems to be absent in this thread, among the all time famous duos.

My favorite was Griese to Warfield, sparingly but deadly. More than 20 yards per reception for his career and well above that during the Dolphins' early '70s heyday. I think Warfield had one year of 25+ yards per catch. Plus he was a phenomenal blocker.

26. Montana-Rice, but you have to imagine what Young-Owens would've looked like
Owens had over 2500 yards and 26 Touchdowns in the 3 seasons when Young was healthy. I'd imagine that if Young had lasted until 2005 with Owens as his main target, they would've have done some real damage to the league.
