Losing 2 of 3 at home to the Pads? Watch out. Dodgers next.

1. When was the last time they scored more than 4 or 5 runs?
I mean in one game.

3. Giants just can't score
their OBP is abysmal, worst in MLB by far. In their last 5 losses, 4 of which were by 1 run, they've scored a total of 8 runs..putting up 2,3,2,0, and 1. The pitcher who beat them today had an ERA of over 6.00.

Nevertheless, the season is not over and I'm not giving up, but even if the Giants don't make the playoffs, they have far exceeded expectations this year. With their pitching, if they get a couple hitters in the off season, they'll be one of the favorites to come out of the NL.

One thing we've learned in 2009...

The Giants Are Back

5. Yeah, I just saw that
first the Reds closer walks guys on base and then their second baseman butchers Smith's ball when he should have had a force out at second or at the very least kept the ball on the infield.

I'll give the Rockies* credit for winning the games they're supposed to win, but they sure are getting an awful lot of breaks.

9. It's over
It would take a miraculous comeback at this point, and the Giants just don't have the firepower.

Let's put it to rest, shall we?

10. I can do that
Now Rockies fans let's focus on the Dodgers!!

Dodgers are watching their 15 1/2 Division lead slip from their grasp with only a 2 1/2 lead over the Rockies. If the Rockies do end up winning the Division then that means the Dodgers will choke the biggest Division lead lost. Right now the largest division lead a team choked away was a 14 game lead by the 1978 Boston Red Sox choked away to the NY Yankees.
