providing that the deficit doesn't get significantly larger over the next 3 days, the Giants will just need to sweep the Rockies* again next week in order to get right back into it.
Is it probable?..no, but it's not beyond the realm of possibility either.

I guess I was right when I picked the Rockies as the most surprising team in that poll. A little too surprising for comfort! And the Dodgers play them in the last 3 games of the year! Luckily, the Dodgers are playing in San Francisco this weekend. I'm thinking sweep now that Timmy is out.
