Ohio State Coach should be fired. Called the dumbest game |
|
I have ever seen. The team really played hard but stupid coaching calls cost OH State the game. It's a damn shame!

5. If you have a good FG kicker, why do you kick the ball to the other team...? |
|
with 7 minutes left in the game and when you are leading by 5 points?? A field goal puts you up by 8. If the other team scores you are behind by at least 1 point and possibly 3? And that is what happened. A very questionable call.

10. Agreed. I was there. Tressel is pure vanilla and it is costing him wins. |

11. Maybe he didn't notice what was going on |
|
I remember when his player (Robert Reynolds) choked a Wisconsin QB, who subseqently had to be replaced in the game because he couldn't call signals after his windpipe was compromised. Asked about it after the game, Tressel said he didn't know anything about that.
HELLO? The other team's QB had to come out of the game after one of your thugs choked him, and you didn't know anything about it?
He clearly exists in some kind of stupor. All he cares about is beating Michigan. If that's what he was hired to do, and only to do, then I guess you can call him a success, but there's something the matter with him, IMHO.

12. He is too conservative to really take on the big boys |
|
That said, Ohio State still damn near won that game, and would have had their defense figured out that you should tackle the guy running the ball BEFORE he rips off ten yards.
Unfortunately, conservative play-calling is a plague in the Big 10 these days.
