Kiffin’s comments surprising, Meyer says
How many points will Florida hang on Tennessee???

Kiffin’s comments surprising, Meyer says

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Urban Meyer used to spend every offseason with Monte Kiffin.

Beginning in 1996, when Meyer was an assistant at Notre Dame, he would travel to Tampa and visit with Kiffin for at least a day. Meyer would glean all he could from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive coordinator, picking his brain about defensive philosophy, coverage schemes and blitz packages.

Meyer continued the trips as head coach at Bowling Green (2001-02), Utah (2003-04) and Florida. Meyer even asked Kiffin to come to Gainesville after the Gators struggled on defense in 2007.

Meyer’s relationship with Kiffin, now Tennessee’s defensive coordinator, was good. It also made first-year Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin’s false recruiting allegations that much more surprising in February.

2. I'm thinking 56-6
Kiffen looked lost towards end of the UCLA game. It was nice to see that smirk wiped off of his face. :evilgame:

3. Damn, Jo.
I'd put it in this weeks pool but methinks that's just TOO easy.

4. Like fish in a barrel
Of course, Kiffen just might pull it off.

Yeah. Right.

5. Vowels are gonna have it handed to them

they looked weak against UCLA, especially in the last half. Of course, UF has yet to play anyone so it wouldn't surprise me if the final score separation is only 1-3 TDs (rather than a 56-14 deal).

8. Hmm. Interesting comment. You might be dead-on.
But aren't you assured that Tebow the Magnificent will single-handedly deliver Florida?

:puke:

9. Not sure
I havent seen anything other than highlights of Timmy-the-magnificent, but UF's entire second string (O and D) could likely start at most schools.

I know this is the SEC, and don't count the chickens before they've hatched and all that, but I will be absolutely floored if UT should be UF; however, should such an improbable win happen, it would be good for the East since the Cocks couldnt get out of their own way to beat UGAthens the other night.

10. I was rooting for SC
Don't know why, really. They just can't seem to get over that hump.

11. Seriously...
But I am biased as I grew up in a USC household. IF USC had a decent special teams, and could have made a few more tackles, they could've cruised to a W. Hopefully, UGAthens gets some more bad medicine this weekend in Fayetteville.

12. I'm not much of a Richt fan
Something about him annoys me.

Plus, my ex is from GA and rooted for UGA. So, that predisposes me to root against them. :D

So you'll be rooting for the Hogs this Saturday night as they host Georgia. The game will be on ESPN.

15. Hogs for sure on Saturday!
I haven't seen or read anything about the Hogs this year, but I wish your team all the best this season (excepting when my school meets up with your team on 10/10).

17. Petrino is making his mark
Transfer QB (Ryan Mallet from Michigan) passed for more then 300 yards in part time duty two weeks ago against Missouri State in his first start as a Hog. Another QB passed for 150 yards. They had this past week off. MO State ain't a big challenge so I'm looking forward to saturday nights game. I went to an Arkansas at Auburn game in 93, bout got my ass whipped.

7. Well, as an Alabama fan, I'm not all for them
but Tennessee will not beat them. They aren't good enough to beat them. Plus, Kiffen has given the Gators plenty of ammunition for a payback. Not smart and not good for the Vols.
