Bills CB McKelvin's lawn vandalized after Pats loss
HAMBURG, N.Y. (AP) - Bills players are concerned with their privacy and safety after the front lawn of a home belonging to cornerback Leodis McKelvin was vandalized following Buffalo's season-opening loss to New England.

Hamburg police on Tuesday confirmed the home of a Bills player was vandalized, but declined to release details of their investigation after an obscenity and the score of Monday night's game - a 25-24 loss to the Patriots — were painted in white on the player's lawn in suburban Buffalo.
McKelvin fumbled a kickoff return with under two minutes to play and the Bills leading 24-19. Three plays later, New England's Tom Brady hit Benjamin Watson for the go-ahead touchdown as the Patriots overcome an 11-point deficit in the final 2:06.

Bills linebacker Kawika Mitchell referred to a teammate's home being vandalized in a post on his Twitter page, though he did not say it was McKelvin's home. Mitchell warned fans that such behavior is disturbing.

Totally classless move by whomever did this. Probably some fool who lost money on the game.

2. Hamburg police have the perps on the bun.
Not due to any personal beef, but it was a special order from the big cheese. The criminal is on the sauce, and he mayo may not be dangerous. When they catch him they'll grill him for further info.

I bet we could catch the guy if they'd lettuce.

7. The Bills still would have covered, right?
Probably some fool who lost money on the game.

Wouldn't they have been like two-touchdown underdogs on the road against the Pats?

10. It was teenagers, and his neighbors came by and cut his grass
to get rid of the mess.

McKelvin moving on: Bills second-year safety Leodis McKelvin, who fumbled a kickoff with 2:06 left that led to New England’s winning touchdown, returned home late Monday night to find an obscene picture and message spray-painted on the lawn of his Buffalo home. McKelvin, who was second in the league with 1,468 kickoff return yards last season, said it was scary to see that type of reaction from a football fan.

The Buffalo police are investigating the incident. There had been no arrests made in the case as of Wednesday evening. McKelvin said he was partly angry by what happened, but he did find humor in it and added with a smile, “my neighbors came by and cut my grass, so it wasn’t all bad.”

With regards to moving past the game-changing mistake he made on the field, McKelvin said: “It’s my job to hold on to the ball, that’s what I have to do.”

Buffalo Bills cornerback Leodis McKelvin is so far willing to forgive and forget after two male teens admitted to police that they defaced the player's front lawn.

Hamburg police Sgt. Thomas Best said Wednesday night that McKelvin is refusing to press charges against two 16-year-olds, who said they were the ones who spray-painted a message and an obscenity across the grass in front of the player's home shortly after the Bills' season-opening 25-24 loss at New England on Monday night.

14. Now that's classy
Good for the neighbors. I hope the parents of the kids made them help with the yard work - and make a full apology.

Heaven help us when these kids grow up.

sigh

I did things far far worse than spray painting a message on someone's lawn, and I turned out semi-ok. :freak:

We're doomed!! (Just joshin')

That's true. I remember a certain dichondra lawn removal incident in my own sordid past.

Let's hope it was just a youthful prank.
