2. So, if the worst team in the Pac 10 (probably the worst in the country) beats USC who |
|
beat the best team in the Big 10.

4. Different year and different team |
|
Locker has been a very good QB so far. Washington State probably has that honor of being the worst team in the Pac-10. Remember Washington gave LSU a fight.

7. Different coach, too...although they did have a 15-game losing streak... |
|
...still my point is that USC will drop below OSU in the polls...and that makes no sense.

last year Jake Locker was injured most of the year and Ty Willingham did a terrible job, the team quit on him.
This year Locker's back and Steve Sarkisian has brought a whole new attitude, a USC attitude, along with a bunch of USC assistants to the Huskies.
Wouldn't be surprised at season's end to see them bowl eligible.

8. I love to see an underdog win. |
|
I wish that game was broadcast here. I am stuck watching Florida blow out whichever team they play, in the hopes that someone can just topple them.

9. I think this is a result of Pete Carroll's laid back attitude. |
|
The laid back approach helps them a lot in big, high pressure games against top opponents. They seem to always lose a game each year to a lesser team. He's got to figure out how to get them fired up for those teams.

12. Washington figured out early that USC's backup QB couldn't pass |
|
They stacked the box 8 deep and not even USC's running game can beat a defense defending against half an offense.
USC's secondary REALLY missed Mays as well.

14. USC lost because of turnovers |
|
And 0-10 on third down. How can you win if you can't get a third down? I don't know why Pete wanted to start a different quarterback when the first one was doing fine. But not surprised it's a Pac-10 team that brings them down. Washington could beat Ohio St., too.
Man, I'm glad hockey is starting in a couple weeks.

15. USC had 3 turnovers inside UW's 35 yard line |
|
Edited on Sun Sep-20-09 10:12 AM by Upton
Huskies had none on the day. Then there was that clock mismanagement at the end of the first half.
I agree, I believe UW could beat Ohio State as well. Locker is the top QB in the Pac 10...one of the best in the nation...you'll see him playing on Sundays.
Edit: Barkely didn't start because of a shoulder injury.

19. Yawn. It's old news that USC loses to an unranked Pac10 opponent every year |
|
It won't stop the ESPN announcers from practically kissing Carroll's butt on live television, though. They'll still say, "USC is the best one-loss team in the country and should play for the NC."
Same thing every damn year.

|
at this point. However Cal looks better then USC at this point.
