4. Not major issues. The O line needs to give Brady more than 1.8 seconds though.

Which is literally the amount of time he had on numerous plays in that game. Overall the D played ok.

10-6 may well take the division this year.

6. I disagree

Both the right and left guards were turnstiles; most of the pressure on Brady came from the outside and not up the middle, which Brady saw in his peripheral vision, and I think that was part of the reason he couldn't hit water from the pier. Also, I don't know which game you were watching, but I saw our newly-revamped secondary be about as effective as bedsheets drying on a line. Flap flap fail. Sanchez came out in the second half and cut us up. Our run defense likewise disappeared in the second half, which is all too appropriate, as our run offense went to the zoo in the second half as well.

Finally, Joey Galloway needs to be stuffed in a bottle and let out with the tide.

It was an ugly fucking game. Atlanta ---> Baltimore ---> Denver by October 11. You really think the team that was on the field last Sunday can match up against those first two, if not Denver as well? We had no business winning that Buffalo game, so beating Denver might not be as easy as we thought before the season started.

As for the rest of the season after 10/11...

As I said, 10-6 will win the division this year. Miami's schedule is harder than ours (0-2 already because of it, even though they've played pretty decent in each game), the Jets are better but still have to work to recover from wasting a year on Favre, and the Bills will be the Bills. The Pats can certainly play much better, and they will. Brady missed the whole year and it's clear his timing isn't back yet, Welker was out, Mayo was out....these things will all be sorted out before long. They're even saying Mayo may be back sooner than the 4-6 weeks they initially said. We're two weeks into the season. Have a cream soda or something. :)

7. I think the Jets D is the best D so far

Houston's offense exploded on Tennesse's D but was limited to just a touchdown last week. I wouldn't look too much into it yet. I also felt Buffalo was better then advertised before the season started as well.

8. The problem is a head coach who believes the hype about himself

he has forgotten the fundementals of the game. For example, one tried and true rule is that the game is won in the trenches. Had he fully appreciated this he would have neglected his aging offensive line and he would not have traded away his best D-lineman.

11. The Seymour trade was a smart move.

He would have been gone next year anyways, and this way we get a first round pick courtesy of the lousy Raiders, meaning most likely a top 5 pick at worst. If Seymour would have stuck around I'd say you were right, but he was leaving next year anyways. Smart trade.

The goal is to win championships AND keep the team viable to win more down the road. That's how it helps.

or they could have elected to resign him. Either option would have helped the team more than this. Now they have a team that can't even beat a team with a rookie QB and could barely beat Buffalo.

When your QB has less than 2 seconds to get rid of the ball (as Brady did in that game) it's not because Seymour is gone.

9. Despite appearances, it does take 2 full years

to recover from the type of knee surgery Brady had. I think he's not QUITE as quick on the snap as he used to be. Also he does look a little gunshy on being hit.

Oh and the D is looking a little old and slow, honestly

NEW YORK -- Two photographers sued New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bundchen for $1 million Tuesday, saying they were shot at during a post-wedding party in Costa Rica.

The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan alleged that the photographers, though the shot didn't hit them, suffered physical and mental harm from the attack during a celebration in early April at Bundchen's holiday home.

It said Brady and Bundchen hired improperly trained security guards for the April party, two months after their wedding, even though they had to know their activities were a press magnet.

AFP photographer Yuri Cortez and photographer Rolando Aviles of Costa Rican national daily newspaper Al Dia say Bundchen's bodyguards narrowly missed their heads when the guards shot at their car after they refused to give up their cameras and memory cards.

No one was struck by the bullets, but the lawsuit said Cortez and Aviles suffered physical injuries and mental anguish that continues. The lawsuit said neither of them were paparazzi.

The lawsuit said AFP is one of the world's largest and most respected international press agencies with 110 bureaus worldwide. It said it incurred great expense to send Cortez, a staff photographer, to Costa Rica.

21. I think they need some rushing

While you need a quarterback who can throw well in the modern game, you have to have a guy who can remain a threat on the ground to back the defense off. The Patriots just don't have it; I think Brady has tried to throw 100 passes in the first two games (I might be wrong, but it's close). The offensive line isn't helping.

Frankly, the Packers have the same problem, although Rodgers is nowhere near Brady on the greatness scale (maybe given time).
