S.F. Running Back Frank Gore could miss next two games
nfl.com (9-27-09)

Niners RB Frank Gore tested his gimpy right ankle against the Vikings today, but after a brief appearance, he wasn’t able to continue. It now appears Gore might miss some significant time.

NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora reports that Gore is suffering from a high ankle sprain and likely will miss at least the next two games, according to a league source. The hope is that he could return after the 49ers’ Week 6 bye.

“It happened,” coach Mike Singletary said following the game. “But I had every bit of confidence in Glen Coffee going into the game and did not blink.”

Gore limped off the field after his only carry of the game, a 4-yard run on the first play of the 49ers’ second series. He later was carted off the sideline to the locker room, and X-rays revealed no broken bones, according to the team.

1. They are up against St Louis next
On paper that is a game they should win. Don't know who they have after that but obviously Gore is important to the 'Niners.

2. Glen Coffee, rookie, is the back-up
49ers second pick in the 3rd round.

I don't expect him to carry the running game like Gore.

3. Coffee will be o.k. he had some nice runs today.
It was just hard b/c the Vikings are so good against the run. Too bad about Gore, if he couldn't even take one carry he obviously shouldn't have started today.

4. If it were anyone but the Lambs, I'd pencil it in as an L
The Lambs couldn't beat St. Margaret's Home for Unwed Mothers. :eyes:

But if Gore's out much longer than that, Northern California's Team could find itself moving up on Darft Day in a hurry. :(

7. Seahawks have been doing an awful lot of sniveling
over injuries the last 2 years. You hear it on the pregame show, the post game show, in the newspapers, excuses, excuses, excuses...the Hawks and their fans act as if injuries are the only reason they've gone 4-15 over the last 2 years.....

Injuries happen to everybody, it's how you deal with it that separates the winners from the losers. Seattle needs to toughen up.

8. 7 starters out of the last game
And two more lost during it. 2 of their top 3 LB. 2 of their top 3 CB. Both starting Tackles. Starting Center. One starting Guard. Starting QB.

Not too mention playing half the season last year signing WR off the street on a week to week basis.

If you don't think they've been hit harder than usual you haven't been paying attention at all.

And I never said it was the ONLY REASON they've lost, so save that crap, eh?

9. ......
The Seahawks may not be my favorite team, but I live about 120 miles south of Seattle so I've been paying attention.

Oh, btw...:nopity:

10. Upton only believes in injuries when it's his teams that gets them.
