the rules of the REAL SPORTS FAN. The REAL SPORTS FAN will stick with their team through thick and THIN! I'm not sure which rule number that is. The REAL SPORTS FAN, though, does have the right to complain about the level of play and the level of management.

Those of us who stuck with the Lions throughout and will continue to stand by them. Jim Schwartz sent the team back on the field to thank the fans who have stuck with them throughout all this -- nice move, I thought.

2. Yeah you'll stick with your team until you change your screen name! |
|
And then you'll say you were a fan of a certain team forever!
You know what (who) I meant.

convinced me. Ths last straw was probably the arrogant yet wildly incompetent owner. But then again the whole culture around pro football has me turned off--grown men wearing team jerseys and hog noses etc. And then there is fantasy football----- which makes absolutely no sense to me. OK, rant over.

8. I don't get the whole excitement over fantasy football. |
|
I have a hard time rooting for players and teams that are not on my real team. Something just wrong about that.

I've stuck to all my Michigan and Detroit teams more than most - in fact, I've even bought Lions gear in the last few years (most recent: a pair of Lions socks last summer).
The worst thing was when Tom Monaghan owned the Tigers, but luckily, he sold them.
