The NFL has more horrible teams this year than in a long time.

6. What?!? You don't have faith in a Mike Nolan defense? |

You bring up a good point too. Nolan (and 49er GM Scot McCloughan) put together the pieces of a 49er defense that's performing well this year. That Nolan is having success in Denver with a squad that's hardly of his own picking is just as impressive.

I meant my post as a joke because I thought he was considered a failure by 49ers fans but I had no idea he was in good standing due to the defense he put together. You make a very good point.
Even though many Cardinal fans will disagree I think Dennis Green did an excellent job with this team. After the 2002 season they nuked this team at several positions and had to start from scratch. For the 2003 season they had Jeff Blake and signed Emmitt Smith(Big mistake as Marcel Shipp was coming around really good-slowed his progression) and Dennis Green built this team you see today. Added Fitzgerald, Dansby, Rolle, Warner, and Leinart who I believe he is coming around just fine due to impressive preseason.
Now one thing that has been eating me alive the past few weeks is that the Cardinals drafted Levi Brown over Adrian Peterson, I don't care about a team need when they past up the greatest running back since LT and possibly Barry Sanders. That philosophy of picking team need over the player with the most potential is what landed Sam Bowie to the Blazers instead of Michael Jordan.

Back to Nolan: He built the current 49ers but Singletary is better at coaching it. Would Dennis Green have the same success with the Cardinals as Whisenhunt had last year? Who gets the real credit? This is maddening too.

11. Todd Haley deserves a big portion of credit |
|
He called the plays on offense last year and did a fantastic job he also wasn't afraid to let me players know they are messing up.
It was difficult to think about how Green would do the past 2 seasons but he did coach the 2nd highest offense in NFL history('98 Vikings in which the '07 Patriots beat their records).

It was indeed a tough week. Thankfully I was the only one that picked Denver to secure the first place tie. ;)

When 7-7 is tops you know it was a tough week for picks. :)
