The Winter Meetings are starting |
|
And the Cubs signed Garciapara and Walker. Now if we can trade Sosa.
I have hopes for 05, how about a R/Sox v Cubs WS?

Twins they show how a small market team can be run well, the Brewers should be taking notes.

Should have put the Brewers up for contraction rather than the Twins. Aren't the Brewers the new Expos as far as drawing a crowd to their home stadium.
I have heard that the only games that the Brewers even come close to selling out are the games against the Cubs and during interleague play the games against the Twins (and there are more Twins fans at Miller Park than Brewers fans).

since the late 80's the Selig owner ship group of the Brewers has been awful. I have high hope for the new owner. (Actually I hope that Bud with this cancer scare would step down as commish, I would love to see Costas or some one who truly loves the game as is not in the owners back pocket calling the shots).

3. It's funny. Now that the Cubs have released Alou........ |
|
That can't find anyone would will trade for Sosa. Everyone who had an inkling of trading for Sosa, is now trying to sign Alou......and I don't blame them.
I say, cut Sammy loose. Or sit him on the bench. Maybe he'll just quit. He's already proven he knows how to do that.

:)
Sosa would be fine if he would just realize that he's not the superstar he used to be. That realization, however, may not be soon in coming.

9. Thta's because Alou may be better than Sosa |
|
at this stage.
When Moises was with the 'Stros, he was my favorite. Played hard, never said much, delivered in the clutch (at bat and in the field). I hope the Astros will go after Moises if they fail to sign Carlos Beltran.
His only real downside is that he's brittle. He gets injured often, and usually misses 20-30 games a season for hurts big and small.
I'm pretty sure he never threw out his back sneezing, though.

8. Supposedly, if they can get rid of Sosa's salary |
|
They can make a run at Carlos Beltran (who is a great player, but who also is an ass for signing the Bush campaign letter last fall -- can he even vote??)
