2009 NFL MVP = Drew Brees
He's making a Bill Belichick defense look silly. Peyton Manning didn't have this good of a game against the Pats.

1. I can't remember the last time I saw a QB look as good as Brees is tonite...
MVP is a toss-up between Brees and Favre, as it stands now, I suspect.

2. I think most of the credit has to go to the receivers.
Not saying Brees wasn't good, but it ain't that hard to throw for big yards when you've got Devery Henderson in the middle of the field with about as much distance from any defensive back as I've ever seen in all my years of watching football. The yards after catch help Drew's stats a lot.

3. Yeah, But That WR Was Open Because Drew Looked Off The Safety
Drew can throw the far and accurately, something that's rare in most QBs. Also, he reads defenses really well, and he knows almost instantly who is going to be open.

7. he's great
I'd still give it to Peyton because he has a lot less talent than NO's offense is working with.

4. And
he and his wife are very good citizens, actively involved in many charitable activities.

I would give a nod to Brees as MVP but I am rather biased. And, I believe, he is the shortest QB in the NFL which would add credence to your nomination.

6. Absolutely
The Saints going all the way would be a great story, and a well-deserved one. I still hope for my Packers to make the playoffs, but I assume their visit there will be a short one. Go Pack and Go Saints! Rot in hell favre and vikings! ROT!
