1. My hat is off....
to you. It takes enough discipline to check in and make picks on time. And so - thanks to you for your efforts with the games and the standings. Now could you just rig it so that I win this thing?!

14. Happy & I are an offshoot of the Humane Society...
...all ours are unwanted, neglected, special needs. We love 'em. Family. Had a sad endeavor before doing the football pool. Came home at 8:30 and found our neighbor's cat, Cocoa, dead on the street. Picked her up and carried her to our neighbors. Needless to say, not one of the better moments in life. She use to pal around with one of ours, Boogie, who was hit last year. I swear, she spent every morning since, looking for him. Hopefully, they're prowling some other alley, together.

17. 17 cats! Wow. I thought I had to buy a lot of litter with 3...
Here goes:

Oregon State +9.5 @ Oregon -----------Quack! (Although, as a Buckeye fan, I want nothing to do with this team in the Rose Bowl because they are a friggin' X-box team. The Senator is going to get schooled by these guys. So, with my luck this year, if I pick Oregon to win, the Beavers will instead)

Cincinnati pick 'em @ Pittsburgh ----------------Bear-nats
New Mexico State +46.5 @ Boise State ------------give me 46.5; Boise will make sure some of their guys don't get hurt after the game is out of hand)
Arizona +7 @ USC ----------------------Go Zona! Win another one against the Hairdresser!
Florida -5 @ Alabama (Atlanta) ---------Roll Tide (please, please, please)
California -6.5 @ Washington ----------Golden Bears
Texas -14 @ Nebraska (where is this game- does it matter?) -----Horns hook BCS title game.
Georgia Tech -1 @ Clemson (see above) ------------Clemson

Tie breakers:
West Virginia -2.5 @ Rutgers ------------------Mountaineers (girl Mounty this year?)
Wisconsin -11.5 @ Hawaii -------------------------Badger finds the tiki, how come they have played in Hawaii these last couple of years?

21. Indeedy, fish.
Our back yard is known as AlCATraz. It's all fenced in. A couple of the nimble one's can still get out, so they are restricted to the great indoors. After Boogie, no chances. It's been a pleasure doing this. We'll do it again next season. Thanks for playing.
Our cats: Mowgli, Fenwick, Millie, Rosie, Sister, Mama, Little Bear, Stella Luna, Baby, Hannah Mae, Scout, Marcellus E. Jones,
Hillary, Boo-boo, Wendell, Burt(Birdy)& Pippen.

23. Did it once. When we were at 21 cats.
Thanksgiving Day. Oh, 10 years ago. We gave them each a whole can of moist food. The thinking was, feed them 2 hours before our feast
and they'd be sleeping during dinner. It worked! Only a couple stalwarts made it. Anyway. I stood on the counter and snapped a photo
of the feeding. I think we still have it.

24. My picks
Oregon (back to the waterfowl for me)
Pitt (oh please, oh please, oh please)
New Mexico State (god - I hate these huge spreads then I go against them and still get burned)
USC (how happy I would be to be wrong on this one)
Alabama (and yes, ROLL TIDE!)
Washington (and I have no reason intellectual or emotional for this one)
Texas(but wouldn't the Huskers be a great stunner?)
Georgia Tech (no Clemson fan here)

Tie breakers - West Virginia and Wisconsin (but god, maybe they won't cover - I wouldn't care about the spread if I were from the now wintry midwest and someone sent me to Hawaii.)

29. Cincinnati / Pittsburgh... what a finish.
Cincinnati scores the winning TD with about 1:00 left; final score 45-44. Pick 'em is right.

I like that the C defense kept a QB rush on Pitt on the ensuing possession. Had Pitt done the same maybe they would have won.
