Tiger Admits to "Trangressions"
Edited on Wed Dec-02-09 11:52 AM by erpowers
After days of speculation and reports from a soon to be released article in US Weekly Tiger Woods, today made a statement on his website that said he has committed "trangressions" and that he regretted those "trangressions". In that same post Woods said he would "strive to be a better person".

This is pretty sad, but I think many had already thought Woods had probably done something wrong. I do not condone what Woods did, but I think it is also sad that these women were willing to sell their stories. He should not have cheated, but the women should have also kept quite about what happened. I am not in any way trying to take blame away from Woods, he himself accepts some of the blame, but I do not see why these women had to sell their stories. At the end of the Fox Sports News story one of the women claimed she hoped she and Woods could reconnect and remain friends. I can tell her right now there is very little chance of that happening.

1. Get very rich and very famous and you get very stupid...
...those whom you've kissed, will always tell, especially when there's money to be made. Tiger probably assumed he would never get caught, leading such a charmed life thus far.

2. I just find the whole thing amusing.
The image of the billionaire golfer running from his golf club swinging wife at 2:00 am. The repeated denials of what seemed so obvious. And now the women coming out of the woodwork with text and voice mail messages.

I really don't care what he does in his personal life but I can still enjoy a good train wreck from time to time.

3. Why would he get married if he still wanted to play the field? nt

4. Family, image...
the list goes on...besides, he might have thought his partying days were over, then found out his urges were stronger than he realized...not justifying, just offering an opinion.

5. That feeling that you're invincible...
It comes with money, fame, and power. Just look at Bill Clinton who admitted it. He thought he was powerful enough to get away with it.

Some men and women are more susceptible than others, married or not. And some women and men are relentless in their pursuit of the rich and famous. Sometimes they crack under that pressure and think they can get away with something. During the Monica Lewinsky days I remember my father remarking "It's like waving a drink at an alcoholic."

And it's not only the rich and famous. My SO is a musician who plays at events in our area. I can't believe how many women come on to him after his shows. It's unbelievable. I can't explain it.
