Fullmer interested in the Notre Dame Amish job..
http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2009/12/former-tennessee-coach-interested-in-notre-dame-job.html

The Sun-Times reports: Former Tennessee coach Phil Fulmer, who was forced to step down last season, is interested in the Notre Dame job opening.

''I know he's interested, and he's an aggressive, relentless recruiter,'' said recruiting analyst Tom Lemming, who works with Fulmer at CBS College Sports. ''He would bring in a real good staff, and he's a relentless worker.''

In 17 years at Tennessee, Fulmer had a 152-52 record and won the national championship in 1998.

..snip

Wonder if this means cboy will now claim Notre Dame as his alma mater!!

1. Interesting choice
Coach Fulmer was a national recruiter at UT and having that ability would certainly help him out at ND. However, not knowing much about the ND alumni base, I question whether they would accept him (IMO, no - viewing him as a good ole boy), but the man can recruit and coach (although he has his issues with disciplining players).

Fun food for thought in any event.

2. Oh Lord, last thing you want is someone who is washed-up...
Fullmer WAS decent, but he hasn't been for a long time.
