A mother told her son, as he was leaving home (to attend an SEC School), "Drive carefully and obey all road signs."

Her son didn't show up at school until 3 days after he was due.

Worried, the mother asked, "What happened?"

The son replied, "You said to drive carefully & obey all road signs...

well, there were a lot of 'Clean Restrooms' signs."

7. And there was the genius kid from West Texas who talked like,well, a rube from West Texas.

He's on the Johns Hopkins campus for the first day of his full ride academic scholarship and needs directions to the library.

So he approaches the first person he sees,a real blueblood silver spoon legacy type and inquires,"Kin yew tell me whar th' liberies at?"

So this scion of an aristocratic old money dynasty replies,"My good man,I don't what benighted part of the country you hail from but a Hopkins man never ends a sentence with a preposition."

So the West Texas kid replies, " Awrat,kin yew tell me whar th' liberies at,asshole?"

This would work better if this was occurring at an Ivy League school,but you're in Maryland so Johns Hopkins it is. And Hopkins doesn't have nearly he snobbery quotient of some of its fellow institutions of higher learning farther to the North.

My Dad actually took a couple of classes at Hopkins and audited a couple as well while getting his MD license at the University of Maryland,way back in the late 40's/early 50's,a beneficiary of that horrible socialist program,the GI Bill.

He was a clodhopper kid straight off a farm in Kansas,but as far as I know,he was treated well there.
