The JerryTron Goes 3D, Players To Appear Even More Lifelike At Stadium
Clever story.

Hey, kids. Like the Double J’s ginormous teevee over at Cowboys Stadium? Can’t get enough of staring at it until the backs of your eyelids are whiter than an albino when you close your eyes? Well, get ready, gang. Because Jerry’s massive punt restraining device is about to go THREEDEE!

From Cable 360 comes this report:

Sunday, December 13 at the Dallas Cowboys-San Diego Chargers game, HDlogix, a company that has created a synthesized 3D technology, will convert HDTV video of the sports action into 3D.

At half-time and during the game, attendees at Cowboys Stadium will see real time 3D video created from HDlogix’s new ImageIQ 3D technology.

Whoa. Now that is cool. Think about it. At long last, you can go to a football game and see players on television in three dimensions. IT’S PRACTICALLY LIKE YOU’RE AT THE GAME. The players have never looked this real. You could almost run out onto the field and touch them, that’s how realistic they are. It’s like they’re right in front of you! WHOA, LOOK AT WADE JIGGLE! I’M GETTING MOTION SICKNESS!

But that’s not the end of the technological innovations for you, Cowboys fans. I’ve heard Jones is also planning on handing out special virtual reality helmets to customers at Cowboys Stadium, that allow you to view the game in a simulated stadium environment. It’s as close to real football action as you can get! And each seat in Cowboys Stadium will also now be equipped with Rumble Paks, so you feel every hit!

This may be one of the great signs of our progress. Never before has going to a football game felt so much like going to a football game. No word yet on whether or not Cowboys Stadium will be hosting midnight screenings of “House of Wax”

3. 41-55, 375 yds. in the last game.
Actually for the 100,000 plus at the game, they will probably enjoy seeing the replays in 3D!!

I had to mention attendance for you and your sidekick, Capt. Cuptonboy4!

8. Alex Smith threw for 310 yards last Sunday
but since the 49ers lost it doesn't mean a damn thing....so it goes with Mr December, Tony Romo.

9. Welcome back to DU, Captain!
Funny, but the forty-niners and their journeymen QB's have been on a slide since September.

10. 49ers have lost 4 games by a total of 13 points
2 of them on the very last play. I guess you could say they're unlucky or poor finishers, either way it looks like the playoffs are going to have to wait another year. On the bright side, at least they'll be spared the indignity of being labeled chokers..something the Cowboys seem to have a patent on..

12. Hmm. The choice is between being chokers or LOSERS??
At least the "chokers" have been competitive throughout this season and have the toughest finish to the season of any NFL team.

13. Choker assumes someone was in position to win.
Hence, you don't need to worry about the 49ers being one.

(I almost posted this about a week ago but I didn't because I'm not a gloater but I really, really wanted to. Remember this was after week 4!! Any 49ers fan has to got to say this writer is ridiculous)

Your playoff-bound Niners

(10-04) 20:38 PDT -- This might be just the Rams game talking, but fact is, the 49ers clinched a playoff berth with their 35-0 victory Sunday.

<snip>

First, so you don't get your knickers in a twist about excessive negativity and other such nonsense, the 49ers once again crushed an inferior team with its defense. Second, a wide receiver caught a touchdown to end a streak of almost four full games without one. Third, the 49ers are 3-1, and the one very well could have been an "0."

It's the "3" that leaps out at you, because the 49ers have faced each of their divisional opponents, and they are what we in both the scientific and religious communities like to term "God-awful." And the Rams are the very worst of all - Detroit- and Oakland-level bad, and that's giving them the best of it.

What we're saying here is that three more wins could seal the deal, and we can see the three from here: Week 12 at Seattle, Week 13 against Arizona and Week 17 at St. Louis. Sure, a long time from now, but those opponents probably will have eliminated themselves well before then, anyway.

16. I'd say they were a big disappointment, barring a miraculous finish.
Don't tell Upton, but I actually like the team and would have liked to see them do something. Outside of the Bears and 49ers I hate the NFC. But they just haven't come along the way one would hope. I didn't see them as a playoff team yet, but I did think they'd be a bit better than they have been so far.

And beating the Rams should never be cause for "we're playoff bound" type talk. :)

17. I always liked the 49ers too
Edited on Wed Dec-09-09 06:37 PM by JonLP24
It was tough for me to root against them when they moved the Cards from the East to the West after realignment. Singletary is one of my favorite coaches so that makes it even tougher. I know the 49ers are still in it(long shot) and I want them to finish out strong but not this week because they have the Cardinals up next and the 49ers always plays them tough.

23. And you keep making an idiot of yourself over it.
How many times are you going to gloat over teams that haven't accomplished anything? The 49ers, the Giants, the Sharks...you gloat about them all and yet none of them have done anything in decades (if ever, in the Sharks case). You're playing a chump's game, Upton. Nothing wrong with being loyal, but loyal and delusional at the same time? That's just wrong.

true, they were all in the previous millennium, but that doesn't seem to be a requirement for gloating around here. :P

20. I really try not to when it comes to football
Edited on Wed Dec-09-09 06:58 PM by JonLP24
If you notice I don't ever post 'Cards win' or 'Cards lose' threads but if the topic comes up I'll give my .02. Also whenever the 49ers came up I credit them in a lot of ways. I think Vernon Davis should go to the Pro Bowl as a TE and I think Singletary is a good coach despite them having a losing record but many of those losses were close such as to Indy, Houston, Minnesota, and recently last week to Seattle. However I found that article to be hilarious to me and I tried to resist but couldn't help myself.

When it comes to the Rockies I admit I probably gloated a bit but El Supremo helped with that as there are no other AZ Cardinals fans here. :(

4. According to the folks in the 9/11 Tinfoilhat forum, Jerry Jones
will be using the 3D jumbotron to show videos that Bill Belicheck took of Osama bin Laden.

That way General Trumad and his trusted sidekick, Capt. Cuptonboy4, will be able to see once and for all that Osama bin Laden is still alive!

SERIESLY!!!
