Suh wins Bronko Nagurski & Vince Limbardi trophies
Edited on Thu Dec-10-09 07:49 PM by SpiralHawk
And hey, this guy is intelligent and articulate, too.

He's a finalist & still has a shot at the Heisman !

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/12/07/heisman-finalists-2009-ti_n_383327.html

So don't toss no trash-talking crap at the Huskers, you SmartyPants Lib-rul sPorTsEN TITies. They might have stunk the joint up early in the season, but they came through with dignitude in the end. Texas was lUcKy to get away with a pAtheTiC wiN in the bIg 12 cHamPEENshiP, which the hOrnS did not deserve.

Ndamukong Suh was a MAJOR HONKING part of a wiNNing season for the huSkerS.

Bronko

Vince

4. Suh is for real
He deserved both awards. I want to love the Huskers and want to wish them nothing but the best, but Pelini scares the wits out of me. Too aggressive with his players for my taste.

5. Dittoes on Pelini
What ya gonna do, tho? No way is he going to get canned after this year.

We have to hope he just wakes up and acts like a man, learns to treat his players with respect as men.

Bronko and Vince would agree, I'd wager.

6. Poor motivational tool
I agree, he's absolutely keeping his job. I wonder, however, how long his magic will last. In the long run, fear is a poor motivational tool.

11. Yah, but...it represents the Seven Blocks of Granite
Edited on Fri Dec-11-09 11:42 AM by SpiralHawk
And that's pretty cool. I'd be happy to have one on my fireplace mantel. Hell, I'd be happy to have a fireplace...

From wikipedia:
"The Seven Blocks of Granite was a nickname given to the Fordham University football team's offensive line (circa 1936). The most famous Seven Blocks of Granite were: Leo Paquin, Johnny Druze, Alex Wojciechowicz, Ed Franco, Al Babartsky, Natty Pierce, and Vince Lombardi."

This is a photo of the whole Fordham squad, the Seven Blocks in the down position:

8. I hope the Bucs lose every game from here on out and draft this dude.
Edited on Fri Dec-11-09 08:15 AM by Ganja Ninja
He's like a bigger faster stronger Warren Sapp. Draft him and maybe a defensive end and that will pretty much take care of a lot of the Bucs problems on defense.
