No Belmont Stakes next year? |
|
Just saw a blurb on ESPN saying they are expected to run out of money by May or June, and may cancel the Belmont. That's a shocker.

1. I don't know much about Horseracing |
|
but we really enjoy going to the Fairgrounds in New Orleans to watch the horseraces and bet a few bucks. They run from November to March.
So I guess it will be the Double Crown?

is a joy to visit. Very user friendly from the parking to the seating and of course they make it extremely easy to place a bet. And its just a few blocks from the French Quarter. The first time we went we watched the jockeys walk out (on the infield I think its called, off the track) and we were amazed at how small the Jockeys were. But obviously tremendous athletes and very competitive. We are planning going down the Sunday after Christmas weather permitting.
I hope the Belmont works the kinks out.
