These last two games for Arizona are still pretty big. If they can win these last 2 and Minnesota loses their last 2 then the Cards will get a first round bye. They are also in a battle of positioning with Philly/Dallas.
I won't lie Green Bay does scare me. Have they got their O-line problems fixed? The key I think is for Dockett & Co to get sacks.

Packers got nothing to play for as far as I can tell, they may not even have to play Arod
because no, their offensive line is suspect and he could get hurt
anyway there is a chance we wont see each other in the first round of the playoffs

Before this weekend Arizona had a 78% chance of gaining the 4th seed and the Packers had a 61% chance of gaining the 5th seed meaning a likely matchup. I imagine the odds are higher. If the Vikings win tonight <AZ a long shot away from a 1st round bye> than next Sunday is meaningless for both teams.

like taking your sister to the prom strange
good time to check out your back-ups. like a preseason game.
so many weird scenerios: if everyone is playing soft, even the defenders wont be hitting hard, runners could tear off some long runs. looks to be a lot of handoffs and punting
the bookies will have to take this one off the board, have not checked the early line

6. "like a preseason game." |

Did you watch the Packers-Cardinals preseason game? Wow what a game!
Aaron Rodgers threw for 258 yards and 3 touchdowns in the first half to take the lead 31-1O.
They put in Matt Leinart and he led a furious comeback, granted it was against the second string. Leinart threw for 36O yards to 3 touchdowns, they cut the lead to 37-38 late with about 33 seconds left, they went for the win instead of the tie failed the two point conversion. AZ went for the onside kick and Green Bay returned it for a touchdown to win 44-37.
It's only preseason but I did not like how Aaron Rodgers torched them.

Arizona winning and Dallas beating Philly.
Arizona would somehow have a tie-breaker over Dallas as division winners. Since Green Bay would go 1O-6 in that scenario they would be the #6 team because Philly would be 11-5 and become a #5 seed.
Bottom line:If Minnesota wins tonight Arizona is playing Green Bay in the first round no matter what it seems like.

12. So what you are saying Jon, is that if Minnesota wins tonight, then |
|
Dallas and Philadelphia are guaranteed of two consecutive games in row.
:wtf:
The only incentive is where they play the playoff game.

Minnesota clinches 'bye' with a win with New Orleans.
If Philly wins they are #3 for sure with Dallas losing they are #6 no matter if Green Bay wins or loses because of head-to-head loss to Green Bay. Green Bay would be #5 facing #4 Arizona.
If Dallas wins and Arizona loses. Dallas is #3, Arizona is #4 and that means both Green Bay and Philadelphia would be 11-5. It goes all the way to 4th tie-breaker common games because they would be tied in conference games under that scenario. See minimum of 4 Philly wins 4-O,Green Bay 3-1. They both beat Chicago, San Francisco, and Dallas. But it was Green Bay that lost to Tampa Bay while Philadelphia beat them so that means #3 Dallas vs #6 Green Bay and #4 Arizona vs #5 Philadelphia. <----I could be wrong because I got a headache trying to figure it out and comparing schedules.
If Minnesota wins and Philadelphia beats Dallas then it's Arizona/Green Bay Philadelphia/Dallas even if Green Bay loses because of head-to-head win. Also if Arizona, Dallas, and Minnesota win then it's Dallas/Philadelphia Arizona/Green Bay first round.
