I never seen so many fumbled kickoff returns in my life |

Yes I'm watching the High School All-American game so it should be a little bit sloppier than a college game but I've watched high school games in the local area and played a year of HS football.
There has had to be at least 5 and both teams have done it, in fact that's how White scored it's only TD.
Anyways it's interesting to watch future great college players. Nick Montana threw a TD pass, he is going to Washington. Florida is reloading especially on defense. Black scored it's first touchdown off of a pick 6 from a recruit going to UF.

1. I will NOT watch HS football on TV |
|
To me this is disgusting. Nor do I want to see HS basketball on ESPN either. Putting HS on TV really is exploitation of kids, IMO .

I would have loved to play football on National TV in HS. I didn't play past fresh year but this is small a dream I had to play in the All-American game. Plus they're 17, 18 maybe 19 in some cases so they're not really kids.

Sometimes I felt more mature at 16 than some of these "young men" I met.

5. I grew up watching HS football |
|
As my mom was head of cheerleaders. And yes they are kids, and they are gonna have a hard enough time adjusting to college without having the I'm a star cause I was on TV . It also helps to undermine the importance of education vs atheletics to these kids. Makes em think they can be NFL players when the reality is most of them won't. I knew plenty of hot shot HS atheletes that did nada in college, let alone get to pros.

anyone that wants to pursuit athletics even just as an after school activity understands that they need to maintain their grades if they want to play. In the respect I feel it encourages them to do better at school than it otherwise would if they weren't doing anything else in school. In college it's the same, if you don't have the grades than you can't play.
Anyways I look at it from their perspective. I'm sure they're all having a blast out there. I know I would.
