1. Sorry, folks. Just got in from downtown. Happy won't allow me to watch the Hawks at home.
Just too intense. Our D won that one. Clayborn is an absolute monster. If I were him, I'd rethink the pro decision.

3. Your Hawkeyes pretty much dominated a really strong offensive GT team.
Only gave up 7 points on offense! Holy crap! Way to represent the Big Ten, Iowa!

6. Thanks, trotsky!
I wish Bluzman would chime in. maybe he's in Miami. LOL. The coldest orange Bowl ever. Figures. Worked in our favor.

2. Anyone who watched that game
and simultaneously really wanted the Hawks to win has to understand how it is that home-viewing is banned. Hawks always figure out how to play down to their opponents' level and make a nail-biter out of every game. Phew. That was exhausting. Go Hawks!

4. They looked real strong .... Way to go Iowa!
The Big Ten looked strong this year

Ohio State beat #7 Oregon
PSU beat #13 LSU
Wisconsin beat # 14 Miami
Iowa beat #9 Georgia Tech

and Northwestern lost Auburn in O.T. because they didn't have a kicker
Minnesota lost by 1 to Iowa St.
Michigan State played tough against a very good Texas Tech team.

5. Thanks, Botany.
I don't want to come across as negative, but it is the cross we must bear as Hawk fans. At 14-0, it should have been over. Total domination. But Stanzi throws a pic-six and GT's back in it. I've lost count of how many times this has happened this year. Would have loved to enjoyed a blow-out. Nonetheless, a great effort by the Hawks. Especially the D.

7. Yay, Iowa, and, yay, Big Ten!
Hawkeyes looked GOOD last night; congrats to Condem, Happyiowan, and all the fans.

I hope Michigan can be part of a positive Big Ten bowl outcome next year. Kudos to the Big Ten!

8. I have a question, though
Is Iowa's fight song "In Heaven There is No Beer?" Because it certainly sounded like it.

9. No, 1go.
Fight, Fight, Fight for Iowa is the fight song. Then the band goes directly into 'heaven'.

11. We lose Edds and Angerer. Otherwise, everyone's back.
Of course, Clayborn and Spievey may change their minds and go pro. The D will be as good next year.
