2. Whew. A little bowl envy, eh?
No two matchups are the same. We will never know how Boise st/tcu/Pitt/cinch would match up against teams like these. Not great football tonight, but played against the #2 team.

4. I think we know how Cincy would have matched up.
About 35 points down. Boise? Please. They might have recorded a win against Chokelahoma, but the last time they played an SEC team, my Dawgs delivered a 35 point ass whipping on them. We have referred to them as BOAISY (Bend Over And I'll Show You) State ever since. TCU would have been frog gigged by either Florida or Alabama, and either of the top 2 SEC teams would have beaten the shitt out of Pitt.

11. If we don't know how they'll match up
then we shouldn't call one undefeated team the national champion and not give the other that title.

3. Horseshit.
Alabama would have held either Boise State or TCU to 10 points or less, and scored at least 30. So would Florida. The SEC was down this year, but Florida and Alabama would donkey punch any nonconference team you can name.

That's 4 national titles in a row for the SEC, folks. It's time for the rest of the conferences to openly admit that y'all are looking up at us. There are a whole lot of things wrong with the South... but college football isn't one of them.

14. But we'll never know this, will we?
As long as the big moneyed interests control college football and do not allow a legimitate playoff system, the controversy will continue. And I'm from the South and I'm in full agreement that the SEC is the best and toughest conference in the country. I say let's have one more game. Alabama vs. Boise State. If Alabama is so good, why would they be afraid to play them. Could it be that they're afraid they may lose and have to give up that ugly crystal trophy? Only way we'll have a REAL National Champion is with a playoff system. But for this year, at least, let the two unbeatens play one more game to settle it once and for all!! (for 2009, that is!)

7. Game Plans Changed
I think part of the reason the teams seemed to be playing poorly is that Colt McCoy got kicked out of the game early. That changed the game strategy for both teams. For Texas is was playing a fairly limited game in order to ease a true freshman into the game. For Alabama is was playing mainly to keep their lead in order to win. I think if McCoy had not been kicked out of the game so early the game would have been better.

8. Yup, the SEC apologists out in full force...
...maybe the BCS can be disbanded so no SEC can be handed a championship ever again...they're certainly not good enough to earn one.

10. Ummm...
According to one of our esteemed members here, the SEC championship game IS the NCAA championship game.
