1. Dude---it was a nice run while it lasted. |
|
With the departure of St. Tebow, and the immanent demise of the Ambien riddled Meyer, Florida is done. LSU ain't what it use to be---Georgia and Auburn...medicore... and the rest of the wanna be's are still clamoring for glory.
All that is left is Alabama and who knows what is in store for them with the greedy lying sack of shit that is Saban.
I will admit though the SEC had a good run.

Could be those THREE (count em') 3 BIG TEN teams in the Top 10. We'll see how your network eSECpn spins that.

3. Dude! If what we saw last night is anywhere near representative of the SEC, |
|
then your league is a disgrace. Come on! You barely beat a team that was starting a high school qb! Hell, even Miami of Ohio would have given Alabama a good run for the money!
Absolutely disgraceful!

Four BCS championships in a row. Disgraceful? If there were a playoff, two SEC teams would have been in the championship game. Now that would have been disgraceful.

Colt could barely beat a poor Nebraska team.
There is no way Colt could have kept up with the Bama offense who had its way with the Longhorn defense.

8. I think with Colt, tru, they turn a couple of those early FG's in the first half to TD's... |
|
Which would of brought out an even worse coaching job by Saban, if that's possible.

but one true fact...The Longhorn defense simply could not stop the Bama offense.
A closer game---perhaps...but Bama was just to powerful for Texas.

I don't understand your post. The Longhorn Backup QB outplayed the Bama starter and Bama still kicked ass. Could ya elaborate on your post? I admitted no such thing.
If there were a playoff instead of the BCS, Texas would not have been in the game, another SEC team would have been.

with all the success a playoff shouldn't scare the SEC at all. It would be a chance to have two teams in the final. I would think SEC fans would be clamoring at the chance to participate in a playoff.

12. What tea leaves are you reading? |
|
Edited on Fri Jan-08-10 03:58 PM by RT Atlanta
This was a "down" year for the SEC, with the league only placing 2 teams in the top 5 and 5 teams in the top 25. UGA and UT were off in the East, and Arkansas, Auburn and LSU were off in the West during the 2009 campaign. Looking at 2010, add a resurget UK to UGA and UT, and you'll see a very competitive SEC East. LSU, Auburn and Arkansas will make the West competitive too.
UTenn and Auburn lost to the Tide on last minute plays (after having only a week and to prepare) and UT (Best of the Big 12), whose defensive coordinator knew how to beat Bama when he was Auburn, had it handed to them last night after having more than a month to prepare.

The NC is all that counts and the SEC, other than Alabama is in for a bit of a slump.

You base your post on what? Intense research on nationwide recruiting? Are you Mel Kiper? And what constitutes a "bit of a slump" relative to the SEC? Is is the same as a "bit of a slump" for the Big Ten? The Pac-10?
The SEC might not win a national championship for another 50 years but I wouldn't know why. Please share the basis for your prescience about the nearterm demise of the SEC. (Thats some smacktalk from an Arkansas Grad Huh?) I want to share it with my secret network.
