Not a huge fan of Carroll but he did one helluva job. With the exception of this year, when it seemed he was looking for the first bus out of town. http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/17794/how-does-usc-move-forward Jack Del Rio. A USC grad- makes a lot of sense. But going from the Pro's to college ball isn't easy. Ask Al Groh. Carroll was the perfect guy for the Trojans. I think hell fail again in the Pro's.
I think the USC program takes a big step back no matter whom they choose. The big ? is for how long.

1. Urban Meyer
:hide:

I don't know. "Experts" are suggesting they will target Mike Riley for the Oregon State Beavers.

About his pro record. He does have an overall winning record as a head coach with 6 games above .500 with his time at New England.

He may be in trouble with the Seahawks, where they will go with a QB among other positions. He is a defensive coach so maybe offensive personal and play-calling duties may be left up to an offensive coordinator.

2. Oregon State just offered Riley a lifetime contract, Jon.
I think he takes it. My early guess is Del Rio.

3. You may be right
I have no idea who will be the next coach so I'm guessing Urban Meyer :D

Is Del Rio leaving Jax? I know he has had some good seasons there even though he is coming up on a couple of losing seasons which this one wasn't that bad. It makes me wonder where Dirk Koetter goes if that happens. He is the offensive coordinator for the Jags and former head coach of the Sun Devils.
