2. Oh Lord, I remember that game...
...it wasn;t a big deal, just another game, not like the Super Bowl hype of today.

And I should say I "remember" in the sense that I recall watching it at my mother's uncle's house, but the details, hey, I couldn't tell you.

3. And who did the Packers beat to get to that game?
The Dallas Cowboys and Dandy Don Meredith.

I was there!

I yelled something derogatory at Ray Nitschke and he wanted to come after me in the stands.

Those were the glory years. Long before Arkie Asshole Jerry Jones fucked over the proud tradition.

4. Nitschke was one of those old school guys I wouldn't want to mess with
Nitschke, Butkus, Lambert. They'd rip your arm off and beat you to death with it.

5. I remember Max McGee coming off the bench to star in the game
He was quite a playboy and wasn't expected to play in that game so he was out partying all night. When Boyd Dowler went down very early, McGee had to come in still hung over. He had that great behind the back catch for a touchdown (I think it was the first Super Bowl touchdown).

RIP
