SAINTS sign Deuce McCallister
May or not play tomorrow but will be in uniform and will lead the team onto the field. Deuce is a big fan favorite in NOLA. Who Dat don't need no reason to get UP but the signing of Deuce has the Big Easy Buzzing. Very Loudly.

1. I honestly didn't know he was gone from the roster.
I just thought he was languishing on the bench behind N.O.'s stable of running backs.

2. He was released last February
He had a lot of leg problems, but supposedly up and running now, so to speak. The sight of Number 26 will bring the SuperDome Roof down tomorrow afternoon.

3. Does he have anything left in the tank? How will they use him?
As a blocking back/decoy??

4. Per the chatter on NOLA radio
he most likely will not play tomorrow but his being on the field will be an incredible emotional boost to the fans who love the guy. If the Saints win he'll definitely play the following week which would also be in the dome. He is an outstanding blocking back and I would think that would be his primary purpose. Brees with a little more protection, Who Dat can only wish. I would not be surprised if he played a little bit tomorrow.

5. He's going to be a team captain
He was originally going to be an honorary captain, but after another player had an injury, the GM decided to sign him and make him a real captain. But he'll be inactive.
