As a 'Skins fan, I was pretty amazed to see consistent throwning and catching yesterday.
I don't watch much football other than My Team, but I was pretty amazed at the consistent ability of Manning to throw the 3rd and 7 yards clutch pass and have the receiver catch it. Sometimes these receivers ran around a little bit after catching the ball. The Saints did some amazing running.

I haven't seen this sort of thing in a while and I was impressed. It also suggests to me that I've under-estimated the ability of the Redskins to get opponents bored shitless and to play down to their level.

1. Well, hopefully it wont be too long now till that happens
Looks like Shanahan is in the process of assembling a team of Men to run his staff (not little boys). Coaches that are actually good for something.

4. Yeah, TZ, but you and I would have had the sense to draft/trade for more back ups on the O line
than shit-for-brains Cerrato did.

But, seriously, the throwing and catching in clutch plays was pretty amazing.

3. Shanahan won two Superbowls with Elway
and 1 playoff game without him, January 14, 2006: Broncos 27, Patriots 13

Check out Shanahan's record with the Raiders for his "success" with a meddling owner and a half ass QB.

Good luck with that.

I'm not sayin'--I'm just sayin'.

But the Yanks didn't have ANY success until their MEDDLING OWNER STOPPED MEDDLING. I wasn't taking a shot at Shanahan (as much as) your suck-ass QB & Psychopathic owner. Shanahan is a FOOTBALL GENIUS. The others....NOT SO MUCH.

Just sayin', I'm NOT sayin'

Edited cuz eye kan't spehll.

11. The Danny hasn't been nearly so 'hands on' in recent years. He just had to
realize that Cerrato sucks as a GM.

I referenced Shanahan's PAST PERFORMANCE with the Raiders only, which contained 2 variables much like the present Skins', to try to gauge what MIGHT happen here.

1) A SUCK-ASS QB
2) A MEDDLING OWNER

And when I wrote "Good luck with that", it wasn't a shot at Shanahan AS MUCH AS the other two.

Terrell Davis & a DEFENSE that actually, you know, Defended.

In 1995, newly-appointed Denver Broncos head coach Mike Shanahan drafted Davis in the 6th Round of the 1995 NFL Draft. Davis entered training camp as the sixth string tailback and was a long shot to make the team. He managed to impress the Broncos coaching.... Davis kept improving with each pre-season game and was promoted to starting running back for the season's opening game. With Davis at running back, the Broncos possessed the potent running attack that they had previously lacked.

snip

In 1996, Davis signed a lucrative new five-year contract....he rushed for a total of 1,538 yards and set a Denver Broncos record for rushing touchdowns with 13. The Broncos ended that season with a 13–3 record...

Super Bowl XXXII

In the Super Bowl, Davis rushed for 157 yards, caught 2 passes for 8 yards, and became the first player in Super Bowl history ever to score 3 rushing touchdowns. This performance earned him MVP honors despite having to sit out the second quarter due to a migraine, an affliction he has suffered with most of his life.

Davis' 8 touchdowns in his three playoff games and the Super Bowl gave him a total of 48 points, the most ever scored in a single postseason...

Just sayin

16. Russell Okung is who we need to get.
Replacing Chris Samuels and getting depth on the rest of the O-line is our foremost need. Getting a RB in the middle rounds wouldn't be a bad idea either.
