but I don't have a graphics program and I have cheap laptop where it's difficult enough to download firefox so even if I knew how I probably wouldn't be able to do it.

17. Put it into the Windows clipboard by hitting "printscreen"...

Crop it with your favorite picture editor.
Then upload it to photobucket.
(That's how I do it anyway)

Also works great with pictures that you can't link.

I found "Screen Capture" under Accessories so this is what this is. This is too large because I don't have a picture editor to crop it. I'll have to figure out how to download one to my PC. It's Linux instead of Windows.

Simple downloads don't work for me. I found a site that says get 'Gimp' but I have troubles with that. http://wiki.eeeuser.com/thegimp

I typed ctrl & alt & T (it brings up a black screen)

Then 'sudo bash' (enter)

apt-get update (enter)

apt-get install gimp (enter)

However than it says "Package gimp is not available and is referred to by another package.
This may mean the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source
E: Package gimp has no installation candidate"

22. Do you use a GUI like Gnome or KDE?

Do you have Linux Firefox? You should be able to download directly through it.

If not, I can't help you because I never learned all the command line stuff even though I've been using Unix and Linux for almost 20 years.

Added: And ImageMagick will do a window capture for you. Any X-window that you have up, like your browser window. Then you can crop and resize it directly.

I finally was able to download Gimp. There wasn't enough info on the EEE PC boards on how to download imagemagick. Anyways at least I can crop now.
