1. Post 8200 -- I've managed to blow the entire afternoon on D.U.
I'm bad.

:spank:

2. It's the DU curse
If you say your team is going all the way they fall short.

Here's just one example: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=215x130229

I made the same mistake before the Divisional round when asked for SB predictions I said 'home team'

6. "We" meaning the Nationals?
Holy shit, but that's funny. I've gone back 40 years or so, and "destroy" has never come into the program. "Win" has barely come into it.

8. My last 4 Phillies games have been against the Nats.
On September 28th, 2007 Hamels struck out 13 en route to a shutout victory and sole possession of 1st place in the NL East for the first time all year.
On September 1st, 2008 in D.C, Kendrick struggled early and we couldn't even get a hit off Reddick till the 6th inning or so. The Nats outplayed us.
On September 27th, 2008 Lidge came oh so close to blowing his first save as a Phillie (how things change) until Zimmerman grounded up the middle, Rollins made a diving stop, flipped to Utley, who made a strong throw to Howard to clinch the division for the second straight year.
On September 8th, 2009 in D.C, the Phils relied on the long ball, cranking out five of them to beat the Nats 5-3.

What will happen when I see them again on April 7th, 2010? Can't wait to find out! :)

20. Really? Is that how it works?
Step right up, Yankee fans. It's almost baseball season. Don't be shy now.

9. And for post 1468...
I hope you're right! I'm optimistic that the 2010 Phils will be even better than the last 2 years. They're capable of doing great things.

11. Post 193 says...
I don't post often enough...

If the Saints can win the NFC, and a woman can win a PBA title...

Why not the Cubs? Isn't one century enough?

16. A sportswriter
for the New Orleans newspaper made his New Year Sports Predictions and he said the Phillies will beat the Yanks in a rematch this year. Fine with me.

18. Say Bosshog
I know we are both misplaced Eagles fans, me in Indy and you in NOLA, so good luck to the Saints in the Supe (I wish I could get worked up about the Colts, but I'll fake it, having married into a Colts family). Should be a good one.

19. WHO DAT NATION
is a great place to be right now. The tourist industry is booming this week with people coming to New Orleans. They want to be in town during the game, which is as you know is in Miami. There are some crazy motherfuckers down here but they love their team, know how to party and treat visiting fans pretty decently. We are heading to the Quarter for a little wild and crazy time Saturday afternoon. Just might be able to scare up a party or two.

21. I think
That I would probably want the Colts to win for the sake of family and friends up here, but I would much rather have the Saints win and go to the victory party down THERE! I haven't been down there in about 25 years, but I know they have not forgotten how to party down there.

22. There will be a Parade win or lose on Tuesday
but I don't think the time has been established. Another Parade in Mardi Gras season. The Good times will be rolling until preseason.
