Lane Kiffin Leaves USC For Dream Job At GameStop
http://www.theonion.com/content/news_briefs/lane_kiffin_leaves_usc_for

LOS ANGELES—During his introductory press conference as USC's new head coach last Wednesday, Lane Kiffin told reporters that he would be leaving the school indefinitely to pursue his dream of working at GameStop. "I was approached by a cousin who works at the GameStop on Wilshire Boulevard, and when he said there was an open sales clerk position, I had to take it," said Kiffin, who then proudly placed a GameStop baseball cap on his head. "I have been going to that GameStop for years. I know the people there. I know the customers. This is just an opportunity I couldn't pass up." Before leaving the press conference, Kiffin told reporters that, while he is committed to GameStop, his heart will always belong to the Beverly Center Sunglass Hut.

3. Yup.
Lane Kiffin is such a huge jerk he's made Al Davis look respectable...that tirade after he fired him doesn't seem so crazy now!

5. Actually, this Onion story is quite similar...
to that jack-ass Bill Belichick's press conference when he was supposed to be introduced as new Head Coach of the Jets.

From Wikipedia:

Belichick served as assistant head coach and defensive coordinator for the Jets from 1997 to 1999. When Parcells stepped down as head coach in 1999, Belichick became the new Jets head coach. However, Belichick's introduction to the media the following day turned out to be a surprise resignation announcement. Before taking the podium, he scrawled a resignation note on a sheet of loose leaf paper that read, in its entirety, "I resign as HC of the NYJ." He then delivered a half-hour speech explaining his resignation to the assembled press corps.

Shortly afterward, he accepted an offer from the Patriots to become their new head coach, who had previously tried to hire him away from the Jets. Parcells and the Jets claimed that Belichick was still under contract, and demanded compensation from the Patriots. NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue agreed, and the Patriots gave the Jets a first-round draft pick in 2000 in exchange for the right to hire Belichick.
