Sunshine Millions Day
Six races tomorrow, 3 in Cali and 3 in FL. I'm looking at what appears to be a pretty good line-up for the Sprint at Gulfstream. PP's here: http://www.gulfstreampark.com/NR/rdonlyres/AE809A77-55FA-46EA-92A1-991167DB95D3/28444/SprintPPS.pdf

Good Luck, all!

Millions: 'Che' adds blinkers for Sprint
HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. - Pashito the Che has been one of the best sprinters on the East Coast over the past six months, and trainer Scott Lake predicts that the horse will only get better with the addition of blinkers.

Lake's theory will get tested right off the bat when Pashito the Che opens his 2010 campaign against This Ones for Phil and five others in Saturday's $200,000 Sunshine Millions Sprint at Gulfstream Park. Although the Sprint is for California-breds and Florida-breds, all seven in the field were bred in Florida.

Pashito the Che had won three straight races and five of six dating back to early July at Delaware Park before dropping his 3-year-old finale by a nose to Digger in Aqueduct's Gravesend on Dec. 26. It was the setback that led Lake to make an equipment change he had been pondering for months.

"In his wins at Philadelphia Park and Calder, he got to horses and began to wait and then he did the same thing in New York," Lake said. "He made a big move and hung a little bit. He worked unbelievable at Delaware the first time I put blinkers on him and blew out beautifully here this morning."

1. I thought this was the sports forum not the gamblers forum
I'll be keeping an eye out for the epic Texas hold 'em thread that is sure to appear.

Enjoy racing without the gambling aspect. Love of the horse. I think Sid is one of these. If you don't like the Sport so be it but don't be a judgemental presumptuous ass about it. Leave that to GD.. You can ask Sid how much I enjoy racing, he knows. And I've never bet a penny on a race.

6. First time I'd seen him run
... he was up against it with the top two, who ran a bang up race. Yeah, those Turners are pretty cool. ;) (Congrats, Pat!)

7. Thanks
the top two ran off and won by ten but we were still proud of Drift King to be third.

The fractions in that race were unbelievable: 21,43, 55, finished up in 1:08.4

I thought after the half the top two were going to come back, but they kept going.
